Maybe I deserve to be loved,
but no one deserves to love someone like me.

sorry-soulmate:

It’s two a.m.
The emergency room psychiatrist looks up from his clipboard
with eyes paid to care
and asks me if I see people who aren’t really there.
I say, “I see people
how the hell am I supposed to know
if they’re real or not?”
He doesn’t laugh
neither do I.
The math’s not on my side
ten stitches and one lie.
I swear I wasn’t trying to die.
I just wanted to see what my pulse looked like from the inside.

Just Like in the Movies.
It’s easy to watch a movie and want to be like that couple that story unfold before your very eyes. To have that romance of ‘Romeo and Juliet’, an everlasting love like ‘The Notebook’, and that happily ever after of ‘Cinderella’.  And just like in the movies, how could we not want to aspire to have that love story that somehow manages to have that perfect ending that makes you have that tingling feeling within your heart.
But the thing is, not every relationship is made to be on the silver screen, and not everything is as perfect as people think it should be. The problem with those movies that is that it always comes to an abrupt end, and you never really know what happens next. And in real life, it just doesn’t end with a happily ever after, but there are highs and lows.
So don’t expect to have that movie romance. But be ready to have something more than that. Be ready to make a complete untold story with the person you love. Don’t expect to have the perfect lines said to you, because we don’t have writers to tell us what to say. But expect words to be spoken from the heart and not from a script. And don’t expect the perfect actions, because we don’t have rehearsal time to make sure we do the right things. But expect spontaneous reaction due to how we feel about one another.
And as much as you want that love that you see just like in the movies, theres something out there so much better. It’s true love, the one that you can only have in real life.
